The Russian Cultural Public Charitable Foundation in Khabarovsk

The Charity Fund consists of eleven programs, which contribute to the spiritual development of the people of the Khabarovsk Krai.

OUR HALL

One of the programs of the Fund is called "Heirs". The main purpose of this program is to introduce the younger generation to the World of Art. The Fund provides scholarships for talented students to continue their education in Russia and abroad. The "Heirs" program also supports the establishment of new Centers of Creativity for children of the Krai.

"Our Inheritance" is the name of a charity program of cultural support and aid for veteran citizens. Those, who have dedicated their entire lives to the preservation of our spiritual inheritance, now find themselves lonely and on the edge of poverty. In addition to providing material aid for our veterans, the "Our Inheritance" organizes common holiday parties, where veterans can gather to celebrate the jubilees. The Fund's Creative Center has become a place for our senior citizens to meat each other and enjoy interesting fellowship.

The "Muse" program is finding an important place among other charity programs of the Fund. Diverse festivals and contests are conducted under this program.

The "Theater Gallery" is one of the newer projects of the Fund. Talented actors and producers can incarnate their creative ideas in this program. Performances produced by Vadim Parshukov presented for the spectator's review include, "Altars in the Wilderness", based upon Marina Tzvetaeva's works, "Yellow Angel", dedicated to the creations of Alexander Vertinskii, and "Human Voice", from a play by Jean Cocto.

The "Association of Cultures" program also deserves attention. It focuses upon implementing various cooperative cultural experiences with other countries and nations. It organizes exchange exhibitions, joint theater performances and meetings with delegations of artists from the Khabarovsk Krai and from other parts of the world.

A program to preserve the genuine Far Eastern Aborigine culture is called the "National Culture Revival". It strives to support the national crafts of the Aborigine people and encourages the cultural education of the Aborigines.

Another Fund program called, "Memory", is bound to our past and is determined to preserve our cultural heritage. A sculptural ensemble was built in 1994 which perpetuated the memory of Helena Paevskaia and Valerii Shavrin, outstanding actors who worked in the Khabarovsk Drama Theater. An album documenting the siege of Leningrad during WW2 was dedicated in 1995 through this program. A contest of projects for the monument of famous singer Kola Beldi has been conducted with the Fund's support and a monument in honor of Far Eastern writer, Nicolai Zadomov was built in 1999.

In 1998, the Fund began to issue the "Narrator of Arts" magazine. The "Narrator" is dedicated to the themes of arts and culture of our region in the past and in contemporary time. There is nothing to compare to this magazine in the whole of the Russian Far East area.
